Why Power Wash Your Home

Let’s compare washing your house to washing your car.  Most people wash their car to protect their investment, take pride in themselves and their car and help maintain its paint appearance for many years.  Your home’s exterior is as important if not more so than your car’s.  All types of home sidings should be washed a minimum of every other year depending on your area and exposure to various pollutants.

Pollutants

Consider wiping down your patio table with a paper towel.  When you removed the towel what did you see?  Most likely there were black and green stains on the paper towel.  This is caused by airborne pollutants both natural and man-made.  Airborne dust, pollen, and other pollutants also attach to your home’s siding just as they do your vehicle.  Imagine one car traveling to work and back passing your house every day.  This is approximately 2000 trips past your home.  Now multiply this by the number of cars that pass by your home daily.  That is just one source of pollutants that can attach to your home.

The Solutions

Anderson Remodeling provides a complete cleaning system to rid your home siding, fascia, soffits and gutters of the mold, mildew and airborne pollutants.  First, we soak the brick, siding, gutters, and fascia of the house with a bleach solution that is approximately 8 oz. of bleach to a gallon of water.  We then rinse all areas with a pressure washing system at the regulated pressure to complete the final rinse step for a clean exterior.
